PLC Remote Management & Cross-Network Connectivity
SOLUTIONS
Overview
Lingqi’s PLC Remote Management solution solves the fundamental challenge of accessing industrial PLCs scattered across different sites and network segments. Using proprietary NAT traversal technology, Lingqi intelligent gateways create a secure encrypted virtual private network between field PLCs and the centralized control center — without requiring public IP addresses, fixed IPs, or dedicated VPN lines. Engineers can use their existing上位机 software (WINCC, KingView, ForceControl, etc.) to remotely upload and download PLC programs, perform online monitoring, and conduct remote commissioning as if the devices were on the local network.
The solution’s core strength lies in its ability to penetrate complex multi-layer NAT networks and firewall restrictions, regardless of whether the field site uses 4G from China Telecom, China Mobile, or China Unicom. It supports protocol passthrough for Siemens S7, Mitsubishi MC, Omron FINS, and Modbus TCP, and provides virtual serial port mapping for serial-based PLCs. A single gateway can manage multiple PLCs and HMUs simultaneously, enabling centralized management of dozens of geographically dispersed factory stations from one control room.
Deployed across more than 300 factory projects, this solution transforms what traditionally required on-site engineer visits into a remote operation, cutting commissioning costs by over 80% and reducing fault response time from 48 hours to under 2 hours. Combined with Lingqi’s device cloud platform, operators can also monitor device status and receive alarm notifications from their mobile phones.
